Castleton Clayworks & The Willow Bring You: Paint Your Own Stein Night!

Wednesday October 21st from 6pm-8:30pm @ The Willow - Cafe & Market

All steins are hand-cast and trimmed from vintage molds using mid-fire casting slip by Castleton Clayworks. Steins will be made from white clay and bisque-fired, ready for glazing. Event participants will use provided food-safe underglazes to paint their chosen stein. Castleton Clayworks will then take the painted steins, dip each in clear, food-safe glaze and fire to Cone 6. Finished steins will be returned to The Willow within two weeks for easy pick-up. Each finished stein will be strong and functional, safe for use. 

All steins are between 8-8.5” tall, except for the bellied stein which is 6.5”. Choose from 8 vintage steins (see pictures below). 

All steins are made to order and need to be ordered by Friday, October 9th so they can be bisque-fired prior to the event. All materials are provided: the bisque-fired steins, the underglazes in a variety of colors, paint brushes, sponges and instruction. No painting or ceramic experience necessary!
